Getting to ภูเก็ต

Phuket International Airport (HKT) is on the north-west of the island. A taxi or private transfer to Patong usually takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic, and a little longer to the south of the island. Because the island is large and public transport is limited, most visitors use taxis, ride-hailing apps or rent a scooter or car. Agree a price or insist on the meter before getting into a taxi, and allow extra time during peak travel periods.

Best time to visit

The dry, sunny season runs from about November to April and is the most popular time on the Andaman coast. From roughly May to October the island is greener and quieter, with more rain and rougher seas that can limit boat trips and some beach swimming.
